Access to Court lists and results making life easier for YOT practitioners

The Wiring up Youth Justice programme is committed to joining up the information systems used in youth justice with those used in other parts of the Criminal Justice System, so that practitioners have access to the information they need when they need it. The programme is working closely with colleagues in HM Courts Service, who have introduced new IT systems into the Crown Court and the magistrates' courts, including youth courts.

XHIBIT

XHIBIT (Exchanging Hearing Information by Internet Technology) and the Criminal Justice System (CJS) Exchange XHIBIT Portal are computer-based systems, designed to take much of the paperwork out of Crown Court. Click for further information.

Libra

The Libra project is implementing a standard way of working across magistrates' courts. This is supported by one national case management system. Click for further information.

Neither XHIBIT or Libra are part of the Wiring Up Youth Justice programme. However, ensuring that the new youth justice IT systems are compatible with other IT developments within the wider Criminal Justice System is of course a vital aspect of the programme's work.
